Giving Opportunity: The Bethel School
A letter from Keri Ann
We began our relationship with The Bethel School in Kitwe, Zambia in January of 2020. I began talking to the kids I work with at church about the students at The Bethel School. When I told them the students did not have their own books, they were stunned. They could not imagine going to school and not having any books.
We worked in Sunday school, Wednesday night children’s church, Vacation Bible School, and summer girls’ camp to raise money for the school so the kids could have books. They raised close to $1,000 for the school. We prayed for the students, teachers, and admins on a regular basis. Throughout the years, we have sent videos and pictures to the school and have received videos and pictures back. I am able to WhatsApp with the school principal and stay current on what is going on with the school. We are teaching the students here to care about people outside of their own community and teaching the students at The Bethel School that people outside of their community love them and want them to succeed.
We have all been blessed through this process. Because of this, I am signing up to be a monthly donor to The Bethel School. What seems like a small amount to us makes a large difference. I would encourage you to give in whatever way you can. Whether that be prayers, money, encouragement through videos and cards, whatever way you can give.
Current need: Funds for a new roof on the school building.
